Applications are invited for the post of Digital Forensic Investigator within the Scientific Support Unit, Crime and Justice Service.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to join a highly specialised team at the forefront of digital investigations. As a Digital Forensic Investigator, you will play a critical role in supporting the investigation of crime through the forensic examination, recovery and analysis of digital evidence from a wide range of devices. You will be responsible for conducting intelligence-led forensic investigations, producing evidential reports, and providing expert advice and guidance to investigating officers and partner agencies.
Working within an accredited environment, you will ensure the highest standards of integrity, continuity and evidential handling are maintained, contributing directly to investigations that help prove or disprove criminal offences and support the criminal justice process.
This is a career development role offering progression across multiple skill levels, allowing candidates with varying experience in digital forensics to grow and advance within the department as their expertise develops.
Due to the nature of the work, the role involves exposure to sensitive and potentially distressing material. Applicants should therefore be resilient and prepared to work in challenging environments while maintaining professionalism at all times.
This role covers a working pattern of Mon-Fri, standard office hours with the requirement to work outside of these hours when necessary.
