Scale:               Scale 3/4

Salary:             £18,486 - £22,275

Hours:             Full Time 37 hours per week

 

Applications are invited for a Services and Communications Support Officer working within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and closely with the Force Corporate Communications Team. 

Reporting to the Commissioner’s Officer for Communications and Information, the post holder will be responsible for the day to day communication needs of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the delivery of the on-line and social media presence.

You will have excellent verbal, written and customer service skills, as you will be expected to deal effectively with all levels of staff within the organisation and externally. You will be confident in dealing with sensitive issues and challenging environments. You will be media savvy and be able to assist with writing and editing content for web, social media and other publications. (Full technical training will be provided in areas such as website content management).

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative to plan, prioritise and make decisions effectively in order to meet tight deadlines. You will be involved in every aspect of communications and will be able to write clearly and succinctly for different audiences.

Applicants will have good academic skills or relevant professional experience of working in a communications and social media environment. A flexible approach is important. At times you'll be expected to travel around the Cleveland Police area and occasionally work out of hours.
